that everyone loved. she was dynamic, she was loving. >> reporter: george carol's wife was getting what she thought was a routine steroid injection for back pain and it killed her. it turns out the company that compounded the drug -- in 2002 and 2003, the f -- in 2004 a man died from a contaminated injection, necc settled the lawsuit. in 2006, the fda issued a warning left for necc to stop marketing the cream. they produced thousands of doses of the steroid. >> when was the last time either the food and drug administration or the massachusetts board of pharmacy were visiting this business and looking carefully at what they were doing. we already know that they had had a history of problems, was anyone following up with that? >> reporter: this is by no means the first time safety concerns have been raised about these specialized compounding pharmacies. since 2004, the fda has issued 49 warning letters to compounding pharmacies around the country for significant safety violations. and at least 19 previous deaths may be associated with drugs from these pharmacies. the fda says it has some auth

in the presidential election here. just on friday, i spoke with carol hunter. she is the senior news director of the paper. she very much so agreed with me. iowa up for grabs. >> it's pretty much like ohio in that it's very much a toss-up state. all the polls are showing it pretty much dead even. there's a rasmussen report out that has them both at 48%. the rolling averages are all within the margin of error. it's just going to be close, close, close, right down to the wire. and how precious those six electoral votes are just shows how close the entire national campaign is. >> mitt romney spent saturday focusing on florida. he had three, count 'em, three separate events there just yesterday. today romney is in ohio with vice presidential candidate paul ryan. and in florida, romney kept hammering home his message of a failed passed four years. >> he's asked what he's going do to get this economy going. we've had four debates, three presidential, one vice presidential. have you heard him lay out a plan yet as to what he's going to do to get this economy going? >> no! >> he wants four more years

. it has been a 20 years since a wom moderate ad presidential debate? she was moderating carol simpson in 1992 moderated the town hall debate. carol simpson was i was lady with a mic. that is what i was there to do. kind of worst example of tokenism and doesn't give an example. by the way the whole reason candy crowley one of the reasons she was selected a group of high school girls in new jersey protested there hadn't been any presidential debate moderators in 20 years. megyn: they had to include women in some role. it will take an actual woman getting on the ticket for them to change this, perhaps. >> one on stage at least. megyn: one other question, should she go rogue? she did not agree to the rules. she will be the moderate tore, if you go too rogue and try to pin down a candidate to make him answer the question, maybe you don't get invited back. >> if they continue on the road they get on we'll not get another woman moderating a debate for 20 years anyway. how much trouble can candy crowley cost. she has a duty for women and role models and young girls out there not to be allowed

years in prison. that's essentially life behind bars. cnn's national correspondent jason carol is joining us from outside the courthouse. we heard from sandusky himself, some of the victims. what happened? >> reporter: lots of emotion inside the courtroom today, wolf, as some of sandusky's victims stood and got very emotional, teared up and talked about the abuse that they suffered at the hands of the former football coach. all the while while sandusky continues to say he is the only victim here. jerry sandusky arrived to his sentencing in a prison uniform, a uniform he'll likely wear for the rest of his life. inside he listened intently as three of his victims read emotional statements, victim five who was assaulted once in a locker room shower in 2001 cried as he told the court "the sentence will never erase what he did to me. it will never make me whole. he must pay for his crimes. take into account the tears, pain and private anguish." victim four who endured years of sexual abuse looked directly at sandusky and told the former football coach "i want you to know i do not fo
